Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn

This place accommodated us with putting a recliner in our room. Because of a back problem, i cannot sleep prone on a bed. I was so thankful. It is clean, nice balcony, spacious and yes dated. However, the kindness and care of the owners is what stands out. It is very clean. The breakfast is great. Hot eggs, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, etc. very very good. We will stay again

The service is absolutely top tier, no two ways about it. Eleanore is an amazing host and went well out of her way to ensure an unforgettable experience! Rooms are clean and well maintained and come with their own balcony. Been here before, will be again. Only downside, the limit is 5 stars for this review.

We ended up in a pet friendly room but did not have a pet. It was a Friday night and last room available. I think it was one of the cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. No, it had no smell. Plus It had a great view of the beach.

My family enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and the desk workers were friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast had many options, including cereal, eggs, and pancakes. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean. There are lots of beach amenities like lawn games, a playground, grills, and firepits for guests to use. We intend to book with this place again next time we go through St. Ignace.

Stopped in without a reservation and the front desk was wonderful! It is an older hotel, but they have done an excellent job keeping it fresh. Loved the view of the lake amd island from our patio. Pool and hot tubs were clean and perfect temperatures. Breakfast offered a ton of variety and was really well done. Zero complaints and will definitely stay here again. Excellent value for the price.

Saw some negative reviews and would like to add mine. Stayed here a few nights with my family. Hotel is not luxury but beds are comfortable, pillows are not. Location is very convenient to the ferries and free shuttle is a great bonus that is included in your ferry ticket. Bring cash if you plant to purchase ferry tickets at the hotel. We ended up getting a room with a walkout patio, which I was not too crazy about as you can’t leave patio door and curtains open. Otherwise, it would be so cool to sleep with fresh air and sound of water. There is breakfast but don’t rely on it as it’s very basic instant eggs and fake stuff like that. All rooms have a premium lake view. The room itself is spacious and shower pressure was great. Plenty of parking available.

My daughters and I had a fantastic stay! Ed was very nice, informative and accommodating. Although dated, the Hotel exceeded our expectations. With awesome views of Mackinaw Island, early mornings were spent watching the sun rise over Lake Huron and the island. Shuttle service to the ferry docks and tickets, available onsite..super convenient. Evenings on the beach front, were a perfect way to wind down after each day! We come here often, its my favorite hotel when we come north. Awsome views of lake, beautiful sunrises, nice clean rooms, great beach area. Two hot tubs, large pool and sauna. Chairs, picnic tables, fire pits, corn hole, kayaks, teatherball, a small pavilion all on the beach area. Shuttle services to casino and fairy service. Free casino credits per person/day. Rooms are clean, comfortable and freshly remodeled. Have seen some improvements every time we come here. Breakfast has been improved over the past few years. I don't think this is a chain hotel, seems like a mom and pop kinda place (but I don't know). I would say the price is cheap for what you get but I don't want them to raise rates. So I will say it's worth every penny, instead. I come here to relax and unplug and always have an enjoyable time.
